Michael Gonzales
Michael Gonzales brings more than 24 years of experience building and delivering value-based healthcare solutions for employers. He has pioneered innovative population health management programs for employers by blending onsite and shared-site health centers with the latest technology, helping employers manage the health and cost of their most important asset – their employees. Gonzales’ previous roles include Executive Vice President of Product and Innovation at Proactive MD; Executive Vice President of Growth and Strategy at Marathon Health; and Vice President of Product Development and Innovation at CareHere/Premise Health – all leaders in employer-sponsored healthcare and value-based initiatives. Gonzales is a New Orleans native and has a degree in finance from Loyola University, a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of New Orleans, and studied strategy and innovation at the MIT Sloan School of Management in Massachusetts. He is also a Certified Management Accountant, Certified Financial Manager, and a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Matt Browning, MD
In September 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, Dr. Matthew Browning was asked to serve as Chief Medical Officer for Urgent Team Family of Urgent Care & Walk-in Centers. His medical expertise, comforting demeanor with patients, and operations experience makes him an ideal leader to oversee more than 60 urgent care practices in five states. With a strong commitment to a patient-first approach, Dr. Browning understands every patient deserves quality care. His vision for providing quality and affordable family and urgent care is a primary reason he aligned his hometown practice in Springfield, Tennessee with Urgent Team in 2013. In addition to having served on numerous hospital and medical committees throughout middle Tennessee, he has been voted Roberson County’s “Best Family Physician” for six years and counting. Dr. Browning graduated cum laude from Samford University and completed his medical education at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He accomplished both his residency (family medicine) and his fellowship (advanced women’s care) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Browning is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. With a heart for philanthropy, he gives much of his free time to serve on international medical mission trips in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, as well as domestically in remote areas with limited medical support.

Jared Bennett
Jared Bennett has more than a decade of direct-to-employer and onsite clinic healthcare experience. Former companies he worked for include CareHere; Premise Health; McLeod Health; and Proactive MD. Bennett brings deep experience leading sales, growth, operations, strategy, occupational health, and product development for national onsite clinic companies and regional health systems. Bennett leads the design, buildout, and implementation of the employer-facing care management and data analytics infrastructure. He works closely with clinic operations teams to build smooth workflows enabling our clinics to deliver the necessary services employers require – all while ensuring the provider experience remains simple and intuitive.

Tom Dent
Tom Dent has spent his career in health care delivery innovation, developing better value and pathways for people to access care when and where they need it. He has been involved in a variety of healthcare sectors including managing hospitals, outpatient services and leading national and international companies. As a healthcare leader, he has earned an industry reputation for building quality teams and companies with a focus on outcomes and service value and understanding the needs of patients in a complex and changing medical environment. He has developed and managed numerous health system partnerships and ventures to improve the integration of the healthcare service continuum. In addition to his Urgent Team leadership, Tom is the lead Director of Healthstream, a provider of online training, education and research to healthcare organizations; and is the Chairman and Co-Founder of London based Re:Cognition Health, Ltd., a global leader in clinical drug trials for Alzheimer’s Disease and a leading global provider for patients with cognitive disorders. Dent was awarded the Lang Buisson 2013 UK Healthcare Entrepreneur Achievement Award. Previously, Dent was CEO of an international diagnostic imaging and outpatient surgery company, and prior to this, was a co-founder and 15 year leader of PhyCor, Inc., the recognized pioneer in the physician practice and physician network management sector. Over his career he has developed occupational health clinics, mobile imaging services and managed hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Earlier in his career he worked in mergers/acquisitions at Hospital Corporation of America and was a founding board member of the healthcare REIT, Healthcare Realty Trust. Dent graduated with a bachelor’s business degree from Mississippi State University and holds a master’s degree from The George Washington University.

John W. Reel, CPA
John W. Reel is an accomplished healthcare executive with more than 20 years of experience in finance, operations, implementation, and strategic planning. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives across a broad range of healthcare settings, including outpatient surgery centers, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient rehabilitation services, consistently driving operational excellence, financial performance, and strategic growth. Reel joined Urgent Team in 2017 and has played an integral role in the organization's growth ever since, advancing its financial strategy and operational capabilities while supporting its commitment to exceptional, patient-centered care. He was named Chief Financial Officer in 2026, after serving as Senior Vice President of Financial Operations for two years. He has extensive experience developing and managing joint venture partnerships with short-term acute care hospitals and physician groups, helping organizations strengthen collaboration, improve operational performance, and expand access to high-quality patient care. A Certified Public Accountant, Reel earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Tennessee Tech University and a master's degree in accounting from Belmont University. Outside of work, he values spending time with his family and believes that maintaining a healthy balance between professional leadership and personal life is essential to long-term success.

Amy Thomas
Amy Thomas is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with more than 20 years’ experience leading strategic and results-driven marketing, communication and branding strategies for both healthcare and consumer sectors. She oversees the creative and execution strategy for marketing and advertising for Urgent Team’s family of brands, as well as community and media relations. Thomas is skilled at leveraging social and digital strategies to drive customer awareness and volume. Additional expertise includes developing brand integration with health system joint ventures and providing marketing intel regarding the acquisition and de novo planning. Prior to joining Urgent Team in 2015, Thomas served as senior communications manager with Community Health Systems for 12 years. CHS, one of the nation’s leading operator of hospitals, serves many non-urban markets similar to Urgent Team. Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a master’s degree in healthcare management from Lipscomb University in Nashville, graduating Delta Mu Delta. She is a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council and the Urgent Care Association of America.
